Dear Shiona, Notes in the history section are permanent. You can remove entries in the scribble pad by simply highlighting and using the backspace. You can also add notes in the scribble pad to qualify entries that have previously been made referring to them as maybe erroneous. Regards Colm Rafferty

Dear Patricia, The first thing to say is that I am not an expert on warfarin pharmacokinetics. Increasing metabolic rate would probably increase the metabolism of warfarin hence a higher dose required. Some patients do tend to be more sensitive to warfarin, especially those that have unusual conditions like antiphospholipid syndrome. It it is appropriate , changing to a NOAC may be simplie

Dear Donna, Normally warfarin start would be 'slow initiation' at 2mg per week for 2 weeks , checking the INR after 7 days (Oates et al regimen). This would be for AF patients. If the patient has clotted e.g. DVT or PE you would be best to use a fast induction regimen. Regards Colm Rafferty

Dear Elaine I have removed it because I would recommend users access their online BNF . The BNF is the standard reference for drug interactions. All the main clinical systems should have direct access to the eBNF Regards Colm Rafferty

Active patients who started warfarin before those dates 3. archived patients on warfarin between these dates. That should satisfy probity Colm

First thought, is it something to do with the printer. As a test, after entering an INR, instead of clicking the print icon (which saves and prints), choose the 'Save' icon on the toolbar (floppy disc icon) This should store the new INR/recommendations. Check this by accessing the patient again , to make sure the data is stored. If correct, then it may be something to do with the printer.

Thanks for your posting on the forum. Not sure what you mean by sorting the patients alphabetically. When you click on the 'Red magnet' this sorts the patients in date order for INR review.

Dear Hilary Are you using the new version of RAT called RAT-i I have recently fixed a bug on the dates input. If you run the install for RAT-i hopefully it should fix it. If you use RAT on more than one PC it is important to update all RAT PCs.

Dead Sally, This is a two stage process Archiving first then deleting . Archiving is for patients who have stopped warfarin . Deleting is only for test or duplicate patients . With the patient up on screen you will see an icon to the right of their name on the the toolbar to archive the patient . This is as far as you normally need to go . If you need to delete a test patient... Ov
