unable to access patients on two different PC's

Changed systems from Isoft to Emis in May and have just discoved a problem with the Rat. We have Rat installed on two PC's but the two Rat's have different patients and results. It seems not to be saving the patients and results on both. It had been working perfectly on both until the change over, contacted Emis they say it is not their problem. Both Rat's are the same version, and according to Emis they are shared properly. As far as I am aware both PC's are on when amending records.

Dear Moira,
You need to check that both PCs are reading the same database (INR.MDcool smiley.
You probably have the main database 'INR.MDB' on a shared folder on your server.
Both RAT PCs should be reading this same database file.

To check , go to one of the RAT PCs.
Start RAT. On the top menu will be menu items. Choose 'Help'.
A submenu will appear. Choose 'About RAT'
A window will appear.
You will see a path to the INR.MDB database.
It should be someting like : \\emis_server\shared\Rat_folder\INR.MDB

Check on the second RAT PC that its path is the same as the first.
The usual reason for the problem you are getting is that the paths are different.

To change the database path on one RAT Pc, go to the top menu, Choose 'Database'
A submenu will appear.
Choose 'Change network database'
A window will appear.
You then need to use the network icon to go to the shared path on the server.

Once done, recheck the first step to make sure the paths on both PCs are the same.

Let me know what happens

Regards
Colm Rafferty
