Indication and altering range
Posted by: janice parikh ()

We have a patient discharged from hospital on lifelong warfarin for the condition of Eisenmenger's Syndrome with an INR recommended range of 1.8 --2.5.
I am uncertain how to alter RAT to include this indication and change the range from those available in the picking list.
Grateful for guidance. Janice

Dear Janice,
RAT does not have a range for this indication.
You could use either 1.5-2.5 or 2.0-2.5
The wider the range the easier it is to manage.

RAT has all the recommended conditions and associated ranges as per the British Society for Haematology (http://www.b-s-h.org.uk)
I am not aware that Eisenmenger's Syndrome is one of them.
