Patient's record disappeared
Posted by: Robert Brown ()

We have 3 patients whose record has disappeared. They are still on the 'to be reviewed list' but when selecting them the programme hangs up and it does not say 'no patient found'. I have run a data check which has operated okay. The database is quite large, so would compressing be the answer? I am not keen to to restaore the backup as we have a large number of patients on the register being tested and this would create problem. Any suggestions? Thanks

Dear Robert,
Can I ask you to firstly make a copy of the database: INR.MDB
You will find it at 'C:\Program files\Rat version 3\'
Copy this file to a temporary folder on your PC.

Next...
Can I ask you to update to the latest version.
Download the update file from the website.
Double-click it when downloaded.
Make sure RAT is not running when you do this.

If this does not solve the problem...
Can I ask you to go to the top menu..
Choose Utilities -> database
A window will appear.
Choose 'Repair database'
Then click OK

Then try again to access the patient details

Let me know if it works
