please help. I followed the instructions for updating RAT. once downloaded, double click this file. but there was no file to upzip. We have RAT installed on several pcs and all have been updated. However, the same message is on every screen.

problem with setup database. maybe corrupted, contact network administrator.

Dear Laraine,

There is a file called 'start.rat' in the folder:
'C:\Program files\Rat version 3'
This file contains the path to the database file 'INR.MDB'
In your case you probably have the INR.MDB file on the server and the PCs read this file.
This 'start.rat' file has been corrupted.


To solve this:
Can I ask you to do a full RAT installation on a separate PC.
Download from:
[www.formulae.co.uk]
Once installed, start RAT.
You now need to change the network path of the database (INR.MD
Change this database path by going to the top menu and selecting: Database -> 'Change network database'.
A window will appear.
Can you then find the INR.MDB file that you currently use. It will be stored somewhere on the network.

Once successful, this should work OK repeatedly on THIS PC.

The final step is to copy the 'start.rat' file from this PC to all the current PCs you use and paste it into the 'C:\Program files\Rat version 3' folder for each of these other PCs.
